Jason Belton is a proven leader who believes that true representation begins with listening to the community. Guided by deep-rooted values of integrity and hard work, he has spent his life fighting for the opportunities every family deserves.
Now, he's stepping forward to bring principled, people-first leadership to our state. Jason is running to ensure that our schools are strong, our economy thrives, and our communities remain safe and prosperous for generations to come.
Raised in a working-class neighborhood right here in our district, Jason learned early on that community is built when neighbors look out for one another. His mother, a public school teacher, and his father, a local mechanic, instilled in him the unshakeable values of hard work, integrity, and public service.
After working his way through State University to earn a Master's in Public Administration, Jason dedicated 15 years to economic development in the private sector. He has a proven track record of balancing budgets, revitalizing local businesses, and cutting bureaucratic red tape to foster real economic growth.
As a former city council member and board director for the Regional Housing Coalition, Jason successfully negotiated policies that brought affordable living options to our town while protecting our green spaces. He has always believed that effective leadership means listening first and acting with transparency.
Our district is facing unprecedented challenges—from rising living costs to underfunded schools. The status quo is no longer working. I’m running because I know we can do better. We need practical, forward-thinking leadership that prioritizes families, small businesses, and the fundamental safety of our neighborhoods.
This campaign isn't about one person; it's about our shared future. We need your voice, your passion, and your energy. I invite you to stand with us. Together, we can build a district that works for absolutely everyone.

“True leadership isn't about being in charge; it's about taking care of those in your charge. That's the promise I make to this district.”
